Dumbbell deadlift: how to do it
1 of 3
Dumbbells by your feet, flat back
Starting position
Stand hip-width apart with the dumbbells beside your feet, bend your knees and hips and grip them with a straight back.
The movement
Push through your feet and stand with the dumbbells close to your legs, then bend your hips and knees to set them down.
Most common mistake
Don't keep your knees nearly straight, bend them noticeably and let your hips and knees work together.
