Backpack overhead extension: how to do it

1 of 3

Backpack overhead

  1. Starting position

Stand with your feet hip-width apart, grip a closed backpack with both hands, and hold it overhead.

  2. The movement

Bend your elbows and lower the backpack behind your head, then straighten your elbows until your arms point up again.

Most common mistake

Don't let your elbows drift out to the sides, keep them pointing forward as you raise and lower the backpack.
