Back squat: how to do it
1 of 3
Bar across your upper back
Starting position
Place the bar across your upper back, grip it outside your shoulders, and stand with your feet about shoulder-width apart.
The movement
Bend your hips and knees, lower with a steady back, and stand by pressing your whole feet into the floor.
Most common mistake
Don't let your knees cave in, keep them pointing in the same direction as your toes throughout the movement.
