Smith lunge: how to do it
1 of 3
Bar on your upper back, one foot forward
Starting position
Stand under the bar with it across your upper back, one foot in front of the other and your torso upright.
The movement
Lower your back knee toward the floor by bending both legs, then push up through your front foot.
Most common mistake
Don't let your front knee cave inward, keep it in line with your toes and spread pressure across the whole foot.
