Scissor kicks: how to do it
1 of 3
Raise straight legs just off the floor
Starting position
Lie on your back with straight legs raised just off the floor, arms by your sides, and lower back pressed down.
The movement
Cross your legs sideways over and under each other, alternating the top leg while keeping them straight.
Most common mistake
Don't arch your back, press it into the floor and raise your legs higher if it starts to lift.
